I also heard some riding lawn mower makers quit using it on their decks for the same reason.
I would say cost. And if it lasts they cant sell you a new one. I don't know how many of you had to remove powder coat but it is some tough stuff! I'd powder coat! Just make sure all the parts are CLEAN(no rust)before you start. Bead blasting is the best for removing rust. If you do it yourself or send it out make sure the powder coat doesn't get on surfaces that are threaded or you have to press parts in (ball joints, bushings etc..)

I'd say stay original. The Mopar freaks will drool on it because it isn't a clone. Garden variety cruise nighters and car show attendees won't know what it is anyway. The 68-70 Roadrunners are expected and numerous. Even at all-Mopar shows I don't see that many 71-72 Plymouth Bees, and almost NO Satellites. 72 SSP is a great looking car WITHOUT strobe stripes. And lastly, a 72 with 400 4speed SURVIVOR is fairly rare.

Personally, I'd have to think about changing colors inside and out, because I'm not much of a fan of gold leaf. I like the high-impact colors. OOH, how about Sassy Grass outside and gold inside? One of one.

Ultimately it's your canvas. Enjoy.

Only Dave can answer that question.

Definitely throw us some progress pics. The member restoration posts are just mixed in with everything else. If you have pics posted somewhere else, just link to them. Would love to see another GY8 car.
Scott.
