I know some of you guys on here has done this. Looking for directions/instructions on removing the side glass so the car can be painted. Also, should I remove the actuator mechanism that move the glass up and down?
Any help will be appreciated, thanks

Re: Removing side glass
i took mine out before sending for paint not sure that i did it the best way or that i will be able to get it back in as i have not came to that point yet, but i took the interior panels off, and the window wiskers out then on the door glass i rolled it part way up so that i could get to the large philips screws along bottom of glass. first i partially removed all screws then while i held on to the glass i took the screws the rest of the way out and worked the glass up out of the door, then had to go back and fish the other hardware out of the bottom of the door(some plastic parts, nuts and washers)? the rear windows were more of a pain i ended up taking the track peice loose at the floor of the car and taking a big bolt with a spring loose at a sliding point about half way up the track and working all of that out the top, i got it out hope i can get it back in. i did not remove any of the other parts just the glass and the parts attached to it at the time it came free and i could work it out of the top opening. i have a manual and i tried to use it but either it was missing something (maybe something that should have been common knowledge) or i was missing something because it did not come out like the idea i had after reading the manual. hope that is some help or that these directions i gave are so bad that someone tells us both a better way.

Re: Removing side glass
For painting, are you sure you want to remove the glass? I had mine in place for final paint, just removed all outer “cat whiskers”, leaving a good size gap. Note the blue taped up lock rod repositioned to the door latch handle release lever. Handy for opening the door during prep & paint with door handles removed.

Re: Removing side glass
Thanks for the replies. Doug, I wasn't sure if the glass should be removed or not. In case it should, thats why I posted the question. I guess maybe I jumped the gun early but wanted to cover the bases just in case. Yes, I want to at least remove the cat wiskers. I'm gonna go over and talk to my buddy's shop who is doing the body work and paint and discuss it with him. If it doesn't have to be removed, then less stuff to do for me

I removed the sideglass and snapped a quick pic for future reference on taking it out:
