Post by gary » Sat Aug 18, 2012 3:03 pm

I would like to hear from Guys that have installed an Edl.Carb.on their stock '71 440 manifold? Does Air clr.fit? Any linkage issues? Kick down issues? I am straying away from my Carter AVS.I would like any feedback on your Edel. Carb. Model # ,CFM and Performance of carb.My Eng.is a '76 looks rebuilt but no idea on Compression Ratio. It does have 452 Heads w/ Small spark plugs and was raced before I got it .Thanks ,Gary

Well after some research ,I am going with the Edelbrock 1411 or the Factory rebuilt version.9913 They have Elc.choke and are 750 Cfm.However the 9913 is unavailable at this time.I will wait for it to be in stock, soon i hope.A few sources say it will bolt on to the stock Intake.Maybe this inf will help others.I don't like Holleys.

I'm putting an Eddy 800 cfm carb on mine. The reports I read from one of the car mags said that at higher rpms the engine would be happier with an 800. In essence they said the HP 440's came under carbed
