help, i'm replacing my gas tank which led to reworking the vapor system. i need to know what color or finish on tank, straps and vapor housing. the inside metal on vapor housing is black completely on one housing and only partly on the other. more concerned about the outside though. my car is undercoated but when it gets redone the undercoating will not go back on.
also are the vapor lines running to gas tank one piece? mine have been spliced.

thank you, clem

Sounds like you’re working with a 71’/early 72’ fuel tank vapor separator system (wheel well mounted). The shield was painted black, the fuel tank, vapor separator, and straps were all galvinized originally. I’ve used a stainless steel coolored paint on the ones I have restored.
Yes the rubber hoses inerconnecting the seporator and the tank are one piece.

April was the cut over month for the redesign. My RR/GTX is a May 72' production and the two Sebrings Sept 71' & Feb 72'. Love your 72‘ dual badged car too, with a little factory 4-speed-Dana car envy going on. I know I’m biased; we may be a bit outnumbered here however.
