Torsion bars

Anybody swap a big block (383) into a 71-74 RoadRunner that had a small block (318) previously? If so, did you need to go to heavier torsion bars? It seems to be a little "spongy" with the original bars, but I've only got about 100 miles on her so far. Layed up for a couple of months yet, and if I need to upgrade, I want to get them ordered! I've got a 74, in case that makes a difference. :help:

I've done it to other mopars. My RR came withe a 383 so no need to change them. The factory had different size t bars for different motors. The numbers on the end of the bar identify them. I believe there is also a difference between the left and right if memory serves me. A lot of people swap motors and never think to swap t bars just crank them up some. I believe the 73 /74 was different than 72 and before.

A 71 Road Runner that came with a 383 had the same bars that a T/A E body had.
