Dash Harness and Seat Foam

Post by pats71 » Mon Jan 16, 2012 7:54 pm

Ok first when I'm looking at a replacement dash harness at yearone, they have one that says "with gauges" or "without gauges". What do they mean by this?

Second, I'm looking at replacement bucket seat foam and the only pair I can find are on ebay from Tamraz and they say the brand is PUI. Anyone know this brand? Was going to buy from legendary but they don't offer it yet.

This link goes to the ebay posting for the seat foam: http://www.ebay.com/itm/70-1-Coronet-Pl ... es&vxp=mtr

Thanks for any help.

Those seat foam backs dont look quite right. There was a previous discussion on seat foams in the forum. Just type "seat foam" in the search box above and you will find it. I think the company that has the right foams is called PG Classics - but I think they list them as 72-74. One of our members ordered a set and he said they work great. Hope that helps! Scott.

the dash harness would be if you have a rally dash or standard dash. the rally dash will be the one with gauges.

You have the gauges. Expanding on what Clem said. The basic instrument panel has a single connector that plugs into the big circuit board on the back. You have the Rallye Gauges and that harness has individual wires to each gauge and light. Take note since you also have the clock you may have to tweek the harness a little bit to get the four gauge wires over to the far right. Shouldn't be a problem. Take note of the wire color and location or a picture. The panel should have the word of the wire color cast next to each location, but take a pic just in case.

I had to go back and look at one of his other posts. Thought I saw a picture of the dash in one of them, and there was. Just making sure Ma didn't pull one of those screwball moves she's famous for .
