Two questions:
1. These cars are very rare in these parts but I do seem to recall seeing cars sitting, with the engine off and the Air Grabber door open so people can see it. Is this my imagination/wishfull thinking or can it be done easily somehow?
2. My car is at the restorers and they said I'm missing two gasket or plastic pieces that screw onto the bottom of the door. I do recall seeing the screws holding nothing in but thought there might be a cover that bolts onto the bottom of the door. The restorer says they can be bolted on at any time easily. Anyone have any idea what these parts are and where I can source them from?
Hopefully my car will be ready for the car show circut in the next month or two.

Re: Air Grabber door
A correctly installed and configured/plumed A/G will not be open with the ignition off. The door is held open with vacuum, a missing actuator spring and or a missing/by-passed/non-functional solenoid could create a prolonged period of time the door would remain open, eventually the vacuum will bleed off and the door will close from its own weight. On that note, the few all-make car shows I take my car to, I will disconnect the actuator spring and wire tie the door open just to avoid all the questions about “what’s that door in the hood for?â€.NOrrTH wrote:Have you ever seen an Air Grabber door open with the engine off?
