Pozzi for 73-74 RR
Will any b-body 8 3/4 rear end fit in a 73 runner or does it have to be a 73-74 rear end. I want to get a wiggle when i get on it. LOL

Re: Pozzi for 73-74 RR
Just as a point of reference - 71/72s used a different sized alignment pin on the spring perch than the 73/74s. Obviously not a major challenge to overcome swapping from one to the other, but an important note. Sitting here, I can't remember which was larger vs. smaller - but I THINK 73/74s were larger.
Of course, if your car already has an 8 3/4 in it, it's a pretty simple swap to a different pig with whatever gear you like + sure-grip.

Yes, the later cars had the larger holes in the spring perches due to the rubber isolated suspension introduced in the 73 model year.

I eliminated the rubber isolators and went solid like 71-72. Best thing I ever did!!!quapman wrote:Yes, the later cars had the larger holes in the spring perches due to the rubber isolated suspension introduced in the 73 model year.
