Torque Box inclosed

I have a 73 Road Runner GTX that I bought (34) years ago. I'm the 2nd owner. When I restored this car (28) years ago I noticed that the floor pan has inclosed torque boxes. I thought that Chrysler only inclosed the torque boxes on the Hemi Cars and Convertibles. Has anyone seen this before? If not I wonder if Chrysler used a left over 71 floor pan.

Transmission? didn't matter. For 71-72' b-bodies all 426 & 440 engine options received factory torque boxes, including a box plate near the rear spring shackle pivot, I would have to assume all 73-74' "U" coded cars got them as well.

I've had two '71GTX's, one automatic and one 4-speed. Only the 4-speed had the box plates near the rear spring mount.

Strange, my 72' "U" code car was originally an automatic and it has box plates.

Yes, both St. Louis built cars. The automatic was built in August and the 4-speed in November, 1970.
Also, I know of another '71 GTX automatic that does not have them. Don't know where his was built.
