1972 440 damper for a cast crank

Post by 72 Hillbilly Blue » Mon Jul 19, 2010 11:49 pm

Does anybody know where I could find a balancer for a cast crank 440 from '72? Part # 3577785. Ebay seems over-run with guys selling "new" dampers for steel cranks. I have 2 in the 75+ "bullet nose" style, but 1 has 4 of the 6 tapped holes drilled out, and the other is rusted bad, and I am not sure about the vulcanized connection. Where should I look?

- 440 source had a listing for the part # you provided ...http://www.440source.com/dampers.htm
Check with them, they prob have what your looking for - I switched to a forged eagle.
