Turn signals

Post by 72RDRNR » Tue Jul 06, 2010 2:40 pm

The turn signals on my 72 RR are not working. For a while they would sometimes work (normally it was while turning right and when I wiggled the lever a few times). Now they don't ever work. My flashers do work and all bulbs are working. I have replaced the flasher and can hear it flashing when I turn on blinkers. I did run a contunity test of the wires in the harness running into the column. I followed this procedure for testing the switch: http://70duster440.com/Column%20Wiring.jpg I did as the article said and probed the white with the green, lt grn, brown etc... and I got a reading of 300ish with the switch in all 3 posistions(one gave me 150ish). I am guessing this means I need a new switch? If so do I need to pull the steering wheel to get to the switch? Thanks.
