Road Runner Nest

has anyone ever seen the hood call outs with numbers cut out so that the body colors show through? my hood call outs are black with numbers cut out. they look original. it is an early build date,8/26, i have never seen any like it. these were not cut out by someone with exacto knife.

That happens when the decals are old. The engine callouts are the first to go bad, as they're only a single layer of material. The background lasts longer as it's two layers.
