Re: anyone installed a custom rear spoiler?
Years ago when Dave Taylor owned his '71 Hemi Road Runner. He changed the color of the car from white to red, and installed an AAR 'Cuda spoiler on the trunk lid. In addition to installing a factory sunroof. This car was later bought for the Otis Chandler collection. Then sold after that. So there should be some pictures of it out there somewhere that you can look at to see if you'd like that, or not. Amusingly the last time I saw it for sale on ebay. The owner claimed that the car was "all original." They tend to forget that there are guys out there who remember what the cars looked like in the old days. Beep, Beep!

Re: anyone installed a custom rear spoiler?
adding a manufactured spoiler isnt really custom it is mounting a prefabricated spoiler on my car my active aerodynamics the chin spoilers and the tail spoilers are all hand made and shaped

I'm draging up an old discussion. Can anyone post a picture or link of a roadrunner with the AAR or TA spoiler?

Re: anyone installed a custom rear spoiler?
I did, from a 69 camaro, the 69 is 2" wider than the 68 and fits our trunk better, their cheap, functional and I always liked the look of ducktails. You can see what I did in my build here starting at post 90:

I looked at AAR cuda spoliers and their are couple problems with them
1) price ($400 compared to camaro $100)
2) size (smaller trunk lids than our cars)
3) they were meant to be mounted on flat trunks

I'm happy the way they turned out, especially for the price. Someday I'd like to get custom ones made, but I blew the budget on this car already and I'm building a house in spring, so it'll be on hold

Nice job dangina! Im really diggin the improv. its surprising how well that gm part works with our deck lids. It looks good.
Ive always been on the fence when it comes to a spoiler. Because i guess im not "in love" with the go-wings. But now i may just need to reconsider, start thinking outside the box, and build one from scratch or look to other applications as you have done. thanx for the tip!

" a custom rear spoiler?"
I have been kicking around the idea of building a mini Superbird wing, say about a 5 or 6 inch base roughly 3 1/2 inches high with a 3 1/2 inch adjustable wing that would clip to the trunk lid.

Re: anyone installed a custom rear spoiler?
I'm not sure where i got these pics but cool none the less. I like the rear spoiler just needs to be a bit more angle to it. like to see this done to a 71.

sort of, I got my boregson box back and its in with the firm feel sector support, got a smaller MC for my hydraulic clutch conversion, since I rebuilt the bracket for the slave cylinder (my first design was too weak), I had to chop my headers once again and re-route the tubes for clearance. I'll be ceramic coating them this week so i should have it running and maybe snatch a video of it for you guys.
