wiper switch not working

Post by landon1 » Sun Oct 18, 2009 9:21 pm

need some help with this one - i have a diagram for, and all the diagrams i can find show the 6 pin wiper switch. my car's factory switch was a 7 pin unit and it worked fine, but now it is in-op. the wire off the 7th pin, from what i can tell, went to a dead end (hacked-up), but the wipers worked. now, when the switch is turned to low or high, there is power to this 7th pin. the motor doesn't move the wipers, and after a few seconds, it sounds like a circuit breaker in the switch re-setting (click). i do have a 6 pin switch, you think i could just throw in this switch and be good, or is there another problem?
