Forgive the dense question please...
does someone make a new dash harness for these cars? I ask because my bird's wiring bahind the dash is a nightmare, looks like multiple splices all over the place during the years, I have no dash lights and gremlin's like, turn turnsignal on and radio goes off, no blinking just stready lights. But looking under the dash it's a wiring nightmare

Which year harness do you need, 71 or 72? 71 is a 1 year only and 72-73 are the same. There is a 72-73 harness for sale in the Parts for sale section of this site. The seller wants $180.00 for it along with a rallye cluster.

As long as it doesn't start playing oldies and lock you in...I have a '71 dash I haven't looked at in 20 years, I know it has some of the harness. I may go over there tomorrow (Sun) If not I'll post some pictures as soon as I do.

I have a 71 Satty which needed all the harnesses redone. My Mechanic and friend suggested I give them a call. I checked on the website to see what he's got. Wasn't positive if he would have something exactly the way I needed it, so I gave him a call and he knew right away what I needed and had it put together and in the mail the same day. Have dealt with him on 3 occasions now and know a few other folks who've had the pleasure of doing business with them.
I recommend Bill Evans because he's been square dealin' with me. Hope you find what you need. ~laurie

Evans did the engine harness on my Runner. I'm happy with it, and it sure beats taking the Year One beating on price. Be forewarned, a new dash harness is gonna be EXPENSIVE.

Evans does not make dash harness. Too bad. I wish they did too.

I installed a 71 charger hidden headlight dash harness in my 74 roadrunner after i conerted to ralleye dash, and mated it to my original 74 non ralleye harness in the engine bay, just pulled and repluged the bulkhead to match it up, only differene i found were the run ignition (brown and blue) wires were reversed...i thought painless had a kit they made for the cars...?

I looked at the 71 dash i have and it has a replaced/melted wire right thru the dash/firewall harness and a bunch of scotch locks underneath. It makes me wonder if the 71's were problematic i don't think you want this one either...

may be a bigger task than you want, but i just finished re-wiring my entire car with a rebel wire harness. i have probably 30 hours or so in it including breaks for suppers and clean-up. it was a chore, but i am much happier now knowing my car isn't going to suffer another electrical fire. mine does have custom/aftermarket pieces, but i'm sure it wouldn't be bad just putting your factory ends on the new harness to connect under dash, etc. just another option - or, you can get a bit of wire and replace the bad wires where needed - that's what i've been fighting for years now, but i've had 2 electrical fires (starter relay fusible link didn't go, caught harness on fire while on interstate....then, the wire from ammeter to alternator burned up, catching the harness on fire under hood), the wiring under dash was hacked-on pretty good, and after the rebuild, i had to keep the car hot-wired as the whole harness just wouldn't get power for some reason
