'71 GTX exhaust question?

Did '71 U and V-code B-bodies use H-pipes from the factory? I know that '70-1 Hemi E-bodies used H-pipes while all of the other engines used seperate headpipes and '68-70 B-bodies used H-pipes on all 440 and Hemi cars, but I can't find any info on the later B-bods. Any '71 GTX survivors out there?

Thought I might have photos....but unfortunately not. Here's part #s
426 - 3466116
440 - 3466994 and 3466995
383 4bbl - 3466095 and 3466098
I think you know what that means

So, does that mean they came with TWO H-pipes? LOL

Well, at least the headpipes are 2.5"...

When I bought my car back in the late '80s it was pretty stock and it had H-pipes <shrug>.

Well, the reason I assumed they came with H-pipes is because my '71 has an H-pipe that sure looks OEM, it even has the torsion bar flats/crush spots.

Don't know why I didn't check my Broadcast Sheet before, but here is what it shows:
EXHAUST ----- TAILPIPE
LT-00 RT-01 ----- LT-03 RT-02

OK, dug out a copy of the BS from my old '71 Charger RT U-code 4-spd car. I would imagine that the GTX and RT used the same headpipes, correct? The Charger RT codes: EXHAUST LT-93 RT-76
Does anyone have the 1971 parts book handy to see what the above part #'s are? Since my GTX has code 00 under the left exhaust pipe, doesn't that mean "no part #" and the 01 would be the part # for a complete assembly?

BTW- the GTX has Scheduled Production Date of C17 and the Charger RT was 503, maybe the H-pipe was used early on and then later switched to the two headpipes?
Inquiring minds want to know

If you are the same guy posting this question on Moparts, I answered this question for you.
Since my X is a survivor and I did buy it from the original owner who ordered it I can safely say Yes, see the pic.....

Hey Nick, I posted it here and another Nest member started the thread on Moparts, but some good info is coming out. I do believe if someone has the first version of a '71 parts book, we may find out what the '71 440 H-pipe part # is that ends in 01
Thanks for posting the pic on both sites!
ps- I am 70440+6bbl on Moparts.com

Looks like the H-pipe were indeed used early on and a change over took place sometime in January '71.

Good info. I didn't have any survivors with original exhaust to reference, so I couldn't give you a definitive answer.
