Ya, its a 741. Apparently they put them in "A" bodies. Now I'm worried its going to blow if I stomp on it.

i wouldn't worry - my car still has the "weak" 8.25" rear end behind my 440 with no problems :beer:

Dont worry about it,plenty strong.Ran one behind 500 horsepower for years,the ring gear finally busted not the pinion.
