As many people know you have two neutral safety switches
commonly available for the 727 torqueflight.
However most common parts suppliers that are local
ie autozone advance will only stock one.

Now to identify this part

how the transmission works is there is a shaft that goes through a threaded hole to push on the switch right
near the shift linkage.

The OEM switch will close upon contact making it a normally open switch.

The switch should close in park and neutral making this contact to ground on the starter selenoid.
Closing the circuit and allowing the selenoid to actuate when receiving vcc from the igntion switch.

The more common switch found works exactly the opposite if opens on contact making it a normally closed

Now unless you want to wait the shipping day or so to pay a huge fee for a nos or oem switch .

In which the aged plastic material inside the switch may fail due to drying over the years.

By the way they have no casting numbers. they are visually indentified only.

Then you can use a ASRB-1 relay board. for a buglar alarm system.

What this board does is it is selectable 12-24vdc and provides led with a .23 amp draw constant

And a 2 amp limit

and will take the action of any switch and change it. As well as giving additional contact points
