Anyone compare Tuff wheel repros?

Post by billzilla » Wed Jan 21, 2009 1:35 pm

I'd like to know if anyone has experience with repop Tuffs, Grant or any other more faithful repops (if they made any)... Whether you prefer these over originals, since nice OEMs seem to go for fairly hefty money on eBay.

Anyone use the 13" Grant as opposed to the 15"? The price difference seems really disproportionate given one is just a couple of inches greater diameter and has a more accurate horn button ($35 compared to about $100).

i have a 13.5" grant right now (non-tuff) but it seems really small...i'd rather go with the 15"

Thanks, that's precisely what I was wondering - it would probably bug me, too. 15" should be a decent size, a bit smaller than the stock 'thin wheel' it has... Not that the thin is ugly, it's just not easy to do lots of turning.
