So the rear defogger motor goes where the right rear speaker would go? .. I have a factory AM/FM stereo radio and there are 2 speakers there now (non factory) so, could you get a rear defogger with a factory stereo?...OR did the factory stereo come with only one rear speaker?

They did make a special bracket for cars with 2 rear speakers and rear defog. Hard to find part. Your best bet is to look in C Body cars, I have found 2 of these brakets this way, they bring big money on ebay. Good Luck.

I recall for 72’ the factory installed stereo did not have two rear speakers. Looking at the service manual, the only wiring diagram for the stereo radio option has the left channel speaker output wired to the dash mounted speaker and the right channel out routed back to one rear mounted speaker. I don’t think a true 4-speaker stereo system was offered for these cars until mid-late 70’s from the factory. Back in the day, I retrofitted a factory blower type defogger into my 70’ RR using cheap junk yard parts. That was a time when you could get almost whatever you wanted for your car and pay scrap prices. Not wanting to give up one of the speaker mounts, I mounted the blower to the cross supports against the back the seat. I cut a hole in the divider hardboard behind the back seat for the blower intake. Air would be drawn from the passenger compartment around the seat. Worked pretty well.

You are right...My car has the stereo and it only should have one rear speaker, The right rear speaker is just jumped off the left rear speaker....So it will be simple to install and I will still have the factory stereo....THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP !
