will be working on the runner now that the summer is over and one of the goodies to be worked on is the hump.
the runner is a bucket seat car with the 4 speed setup.
problem- someone over the years had changed and removed the brackets for the console...so..... does anyone have the measurements for both brackets to be rewelded back onto the hump???????
much appreciated if so!!!!

I would be interested in this, too, as I plan on adding a Console with a Slap Stick shifter to my Satellite, once I can locate a pair of bucket seats.

Re: 73 RR hump brackets
I put a consle in one of my cars....I mesured for an hour before I cut my parts off...
and come to find out there were dimples everywhere all over the tunnel...for line up.
hope this helps.....i can get mesurements if neede.
one last thing....I have noticed alot of crooked consoles( original factory)...the rear bracket needs to be mounted to the console and marked(with seats in car!!) and then installed...
Take care scott

I'm putting buckets and console in a bench car, got my hands on a center floor cut out with inboard seat track braces and dimples. There is a LARGE dimple on the left side of tunnel for lining up the center bracket, the front brace I'm lining up with screw holes for the linkage to pass through. If you can find a bucket seat floor, keep a long section attached, but trim whatever you can from the right side, flush with the right side of the brackets if possible. Keep a few inches in the front for aligning with linkage hole, and retrim left side to the edge of brackets also. Another thought, if/when you are ready to weld, put 1 or 2 small tacks on each bracket and install console for fit. It's easier and less frustrating to break off one or two little tacks than cut out complete stitch welds.

Re: 73 RR hump brackets
I had to change the forward console mount after converting over the 5-speed. Lots of test fitting with the rear mount in its original location. I didn’t note my measurements but determined the console is centered side to side from the door sill pinch welds.
