Upon stripping the motor of my ' 72 440 GTX, the camlobe that runs the fuelpump is worn away. I am keeping the engine stock, using the original pistons etc again. The car will have cast iron manifolds and stock holley. I need to buy a new cam, can anybody tell me what i need to buy. Rear is 4.10
I have no idea of the factory spec for a 72 440 cam. I am thinking of buying a cam from Hughes?
Appreciate the help
Thanks!!

While I can't help you with specs, if you can call Hughes I know for a fact they'll steer you right. I've had several friends call and speak with them and all have said Hughes was VERY helpful and a straight shooter.

Thanks Bruce, I might just do that. Just have to work out the time difference, we are moving into winter time here this weekend.
If anybody know the spec for ' 72 440 cam, I'll appreciate it

Look what I found http://www.moparaction.com/Tech/quest/CAM_PLANS.html

And from the 72' service manual

Mopar Performance has a version of that cam under the part# P4452783. Summit racing’s page for it here.
