I was thinking of adding a '72 unit to my 71. Anyone have any photos of a '72?
Thanks

I'm going to do the same just for the added insurance. Strange they didn't come with one

Thanks for the photo 71440 gtx. Damn, that's a lot of extra crap that goes along with it! I was thinking it would mount more like the windshield washer bottle.

Should be able to fab something simple without all of the extra stuff, IMOP. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't it go on the pass side of the radiator? Anyone have a detail pix with it installed :)

From my research, I believe the picture above is correct for 72 b-bodies. Pictures I’ve seen have the brackets bolted the top of core support on the driver’s side. Pretty hard to come by from what I can tell. I picked up one of these set-ups, Ebay listing1,Ebay listing2 a few years ago based on it’s description but have come to believe that it is only correct for 73-74 E-bodies. I believe it will fit my 72 b-body and may end up using it.

if you don't care for the correct stuff, there are a lot of old mopars out there, that comes close, for example i was in the junk yard the other day, came across a 73 chrysler imperial with a 400, had a tall thin bottle almost like that, and has all the brackets, i think i am going to grab it for my 71. D id you see the prices the fella from georgia had ?, 90 bucks for a bracket and 90 for the bottle, by the time the shipping is added up you are looking at over 200.00 bucks for a radiator overflow. I had a 2 litre coke plastic bottle on my 73 cuda, never ran hot, just ran a hose to the bottle and screwed on the cap, the way it was configured you really had to look hard to see it....just my 2 cents.

Just for my own edification what was the "Max.cool package"? My 440 A/T with factory air did not have an overflow bottle. It does have the correct radiator and fan along with the vacuum valve in the cooling system that speeds up the engine by advancing the timing when it reaches a certain temp, as well as the vapor cannister between the fuel pump and the carb.

But no overflow bottle, just the hose from the filler neck that goes down the driver side.

I checked the build sheet and can't find a block that says anything about a cooling package.

My car was built in Jun 1972 so was a relatively late production run car.

As I said, just curious about the subject.

My 72 Satellite is Base RL model with the only option being the light package. It is so basic that it has vinyl flooring rather then carpet.
To the point, I have a over flow bottle different then the one posted here earlier. I most say though that my car also has a slant six and may not need such a large container as a v-8 model might.
