Re: howdo you dye or paint door panels
i've tried several things...spray paint would work on vinyl...not the best choice, but will work...i've used vinyl/leather dye from the parts store and it works very well...be well ventilated, though
on the plastics, spray paint is horrible - flakes off in some areas, but will be just fine in others - strange...so, the last stuff i used was Krylon Fusion on my seatbacks...so far, so good...i may be doing my door and kick panels to get them looking nice again as well
i did "dye" my carpet several years ago, as it was kind of faded...light coats from a distance with spray paint made a huge difference...i had heard about the bristle brush and had it ready, but it really didn't need it - if changing colors it may need to be done due to several coats, but i just did a very light dusting to go from black to DARK BLACK
