The top part is usually a vinyl, or in some cases like my Sat Sebring Plus door panels, leather.

There are lots of different types you can buy from places like Autozone and Pep Boys.

The expensive stuff can be had at Year One, correct color matching, etc.

SEMS hands down, the best on the market. DO NOT wash with your panels with any kind of detergent, only soap and water prior to dying.

You can buy SEMS at most all reputable paint stores. Normally runs $10-$12 a can, and it will take about 4 cans to do your whole interior. And yes, it is in spray cans

Yes, you can dye carpet. There is a trick to dying carpet though. Get a bristle brush and brush the carpet between coats.

I didn't dye my carpet, I bought new. But the SEM is great for dying carpet too. I have done that before.

i've tried several things...spray paint would work on vinyl...not the best choice, but will work...i've used vinyl/leather dye from the parts store and it works very well...be well ventilated, though  on the plastics, spray paint is horrible - flakes off in some areas, but will be just fine in others - strange...so, the last stuff i used was Krylon Fusion on my seatbacks...so far, so good...i may be doing my door and kick panels to get them looking nice again as well

i did "dye" my carpet several years ago, as it was kind of faded...light coats from a distance with spray paint made a huge difference...i had heard about the bristle brush and had it ready, but it really didn't need it - if changing colors it may need to be done due to several coats, but i just did a very light dusting to go from black to DARK BLACK
