Well I figured out that my front drivers side of my new carpet is being impossible. I've been heating it up with a blow dryer but theres a crease on the left side of the heel pad and I've just been putting weight on it try to flaten it. And I was wondering if I could see some pictures of everyones carpet to see if I got mine pretty close to stock as like where everything is. But I always have a problem and the rest of the carpet looks like it will be perfect .

When I laid my carpet I took it out of the box and placed it in the car for a week before I trimmed and tried to fit it. This took out most of the waves. Also you can go a buy a heat gun it is much more powerful then a blow dryer, and should take out the crease. Just be careful with a heat gun if you leave it in one spot to long it will melt the carpet and pad. Also if the carpet is laying flat just the foot pad has a crease I would just not worry about it and finish the install, then park it in the sun with the windows up for a few days it will flatten out.

Well the crease is to the left of the heel pad its not actually on the rubber part. And my carpet has been hanging up for 2 months before I installed it so I thought I wouldn't of had a problem.

Hmmm, well if you adjust the carpet does the it flatten out? If not it may have been formed funny and the best bet is to use a heat gun and reform it to your cars floor pan. I had to fight mine a little bit.

But maybe someone else on here has some good ideas?


If all else fails open the sunroof and know that there maybe people out there with flat carpet, but there aren't many out there with a power sunroof (you lucky SOB! J/K)

Well everything else is formed awesome but these creases are horrible and the blow dryer has taken a little out but not enough and I guess I was going have to live with it and maybe eventually it will flaten. Well my car isn't the nicest looking one at the moment but I do have the sunroof option .

What about sending it back?

Spray some adhesive or something.

your problem is that you're using a blow dryer...you need a real "heat gun" to heat-up the backside of the carpet to get it to form how you want...a blow dryer won't heat up the backing nearly enough

I guess I have to ask.... What brand of carpet did you get?

I'm not exactly sure I got it from Jim Boros and to me it I've never heard of them.

Did it come in a box or have a label on it?
reason why I asked is because there are differences with the different manufactures and differences with the same manufacture, Some sell a generic carpet for all trans options and others sell one for auto and 1 for the std trans (which is WRONG), there are 2 types of carpets for std trans but they sell a generic 1 for both.
