Chrsyler was pretty good at matching the equipment to the car potential. I can't say for FACT- but I would think the small block lo-po motors got the 10's. BB and 340's,( could you get a 340 in a Satellite??) would get the S-13 suspension and corrolating 11" drums on the corners.. or disks. but the 10's should be the norm.
4th generation B bodys- there is no substitute.

Mine is 10" all the way around. it is a 318 car. Watch out because parts are getting scarce. The disc brake cars are getting a lot of repop's bu tthe drum cars are getting harder to work on.
The 340 was available in satellite sebring and roadrunner, but not the +. In think that that is pretty weird, but that is what the brochure stated. i am sure if you wanted and SSP with a 340 it was not too hard to get one.

Actually the 340 wasn't even available in a B-body till mid-way through the 71 model year. Off the top of my head, I want to say Feb of 71 was when it was first offered, but don't quote me on that. It was the only motor available with the then-new electronic ignition. The Road Runner was the only model it was available in, but as we all know, with MaMopar, never say never. Though I have yet to ever encounter an original 71 340 car, or even seen a VIN of one, that wasn't a Road Runner. The Satellites (coupe, Sebring and Sebring Plus) as far as the info I have were only available with the \6, 318, 383-2bbl and 383-4bbl.71383bee wrote:The 340 was available in satellite sebring and roadrunner, but not the +.
