Need some molding clips

Post by SKR8PN » Tue Jun 17, 2008 8:09 am

I am working on a 1971 RR for a friend of mine, and we can not find the correct molding retainer clips for the trim that goes on top of the drivers door. Molding is perfect we just need the correct clips. Any ideas as to where we can find them?? Thanks very much.

I searched R/T Specialties (rtspecialties.net), and it looks like they only have the inside trim clips. I think the creative keywords to search for are "side trim clips" versus anything with "door" in it, but YMMV. You may need to call them...

you can try fasterners plus, i think these are the same type as the belt line mouldings found on your 70 74 cudas also, or try mr. g's, they are pretty well the same size, the cuda ones should fit perfectly, sometimes they are on ebay.

go on ebay and type in this item number, 190208640600, these are for the 72 satellite sebring plus trim, the railroad track trim that go over the wheels and doors/qtrs, these should be very close, they are .355 wide and 1.230 long, if not use the mouldings for the challengers and cudas door trim, hope this helps you buddy, fasterners plus on ebay has a large variety and they are cheap

Thanks everybody, and thanks to ROGERLEE for the auction link! I just got the molding in my hand so I could measure it, and I do believe that was the one I needed!!
