Hello all,
I'm going to take advantage of Legendary's 20% off sale and order my interior (before 06/21). My headliner was removed by a previous owner but, 4 bows (rods) remain in the roof. I was looking at the roof structure and noticed there are 6 spots on each side for the bows (rods). These are 3 circles in a triangular pattern/shape that each end of the bows (rods) gets inserted into. Does this mean I should have 6 bows or do all Road Runners come with the 6 locations?? Will 4 bows (rods) work??
Thanks in advance

4 will work, I have six bows in mine and I rust bulleted them when I rust bulleted the interior. Of course I removed them first. . .
but 4 should work.

All 71s I've seen had 6 bows. When you order the headliner, you'll need to tell them which configuration (the 4 bow liner is different)
AKA Butterscotch71....the road runner nest is out to win you over this year!

you can check ebay for the headliner bows...once-in-awhile they have em.....my 71 has 6, but it does say in the catalog some later productions had 4, so maybe you're of that group

Mine has six. They are colored, usually on the ends. They suppose to go back in the same spot. I forgot this when I removed 3-4 before I remembered

I had posted this before but i accidently put it in another topic.
I forget when i took my headliner out,but dont these rods go through loops in the material?if so,im guessing you would need the appropriate looped material for as many rods you have?

besides the rear one being the longest, does it matter which bow goes where. When I bought my car the bows came already removed so I dont know how they came out?
