Lets see pics of 15" Rallies

Post by BarryBum » Sun Jun 08, 2008 2:13 pm

I ordered a set of 15 inch Rallies from Jegs yesterday. I ordered 15x8's for the rear and 15x7's for the front. Show me some pics of yours and tell me what size your running to help me figure out what I need.

Thanks Landon. Yup, it's about 85% original paint and interior (drivers fender repaint many years ago after a battery explosion).
.....the paint looks a lot better in photos than in person though

lol so does mine, but it's not bad if you don't mind some orange peel...just looks like a factory GM paintjob

i just like how it follows the original runner rules...not all "pimped" with stripes and chrome...no AG hood, no stripes, single mirror on the driver side, and BLUE :D

as much as I like the A/G hoods, I've always liked the standard runner hood (and every car I've owned has had them)

About the only thing non-stock on the car are the Rallyes. It originally came with 14x6 painted steel wheels with dog dish hubcaps....and at some point, it'll have them again!

So I finally get a good view of your car Eric. Looks great. I wish I was closer, to be able to take notes, also would save your hinges :haha:

What size tires would have come with the 14X6 rims? My car also came with the 14 X 6 rims but were rallyes ( my brake drums have red paint on them).

Also what trans is in your car?

i like the painted steel wheels as well, but i still haven't figured out if it just had dog dishes or full wheel covers...and idk if i can justify spending 100+ each for repops, so i'll just hafta keep on the watch for em if i do it

i'm not a big fan of the air grabbers...yeah, they're cool, but i like the standard hood and the flat hoods on just about all mopars

G70 14 would be the correct tire size for the painted steel wheel.....that's a lot of tire to fit on a 6" rim! I don't recall if the 14" rallyes got F or G tires.

I have 14" rallyes on my butterscotch car....it's hard to make them look right in such a big wheelwell. I'll probably switch the 15s over when I pull them off the blue car

the painted steel wheels look terrible on anything, unless of course you're going for the cop car look.Ralley wheels, road wheels, mags

Speaking of cop cars,I saw an ad for a satellite wagon and the people selling it said it would be a great cop car clone.Did they have police packaged wagons? :)

I believe I went 15x7 all around with 275 R60 15 out in back, at the moment I forget what's in front. Car is not at my house or I would check for you.
