Should I just reapply resin to these areas or put down a new layer of glass and resin over it?

fiberglass repair

Where is this damage at, '72Bird? I would first use some sand paper to scuff it up. 2. Use some alcohol(Isopropyl, NOT drinking, LOL) to clean. Depending on the damage (cant see what is really damaged) might have to put some resin and glass down. Just my 2 cents :D

From the pics it looks like the fibers are separated almost frayed,im pretty sure all you need to do is apply resin to glue them together again. But i would ask some one who does this.

I would scuff the area up before you apply resin though. P.S. make sure it is clean as well :D

Thanks the repair came out perfect. Now to design and mount the isolator plate to use the air grabber baseplate. Can't use a modified SixPak base due to the 2 spd wiper motor.
