Well, the car's getting to where I want to start working on the 'smaller stuff' like the abysmal wiring... There's wires going nowhere, hoses doing the same, dead blower motor or switch and no active heat or vent. Kind of a drag in the summer, especially since the car originally had AC (which I intend on restoring at some point though I suspect that'll be a major pain in the ass and wallet).
Anyway, there's this bejiggered switch installed under the dash that's supposed to activate the blower - which no longer works. It's not a fuse, although he may have bypassed the box with all this crazy wiring under the dash. He's got all this crap from an old radio that's no longer in there that I need to clear out. Already disposed of about 100 feet of crappy speaker wire when I did the carpet.
Any ideas on what I should be looking for? Blower motors seem fairly easy to find on ebay.
I wonder if he bypassed the switches because the solenoid or whatever it is was broken for the blower? The controls for the vents works (I can hear the duct shifting for floor or vent).
Starting to iron out the details... Wiring Heater

Check out the blower motor resistor. It's the piece that the wires plug into on the hater a/c box. Take that off and check to see if the coils are broken. If you check that and check the things that 73X said and check the wiring and connections you will be left with the switch. It shouldn't be too bad of a job since you probably have the dash ripped out anyway. How's the dash pad install going?
