3 speed wiper in dash wiring question/ help needed

I have a 71rr which I replaced the pad and in the process of hooking everthing back up. The car came equipped with a 3sp wiper motor. The wiper switch was missing when I pulled the dash out, however I have a couple of old used ones. The harness has a connector for the: Brn-tr; Brn; Blue; Pink which plugs right in. However the other connector on the same wire stem (red and green) does not fit the switch I have.
The switch I have is part# 3488 766, or 23199; date code looks to be: 0843. I thought I pulled this switch from a 72 ssp. Do I have the proper year switch? can I make it work? On the switch, the prongs which do not line up are marked F1 and F2. If I break the connector which wire goes where? red to F2 or F1? Please :help:

Great news! Actually Im going to: Male plug- inch of wire- female plug the hook up so nothing orininal gets ruined.
The ssp unfortunately like so many cars which I have purchased parts from is long crushed. A LOT of good, minimal rust cars which I have picked parts from over the years have been crushed. Unfortunately so many salvage yard owners would rather take the quick bulk metal cash, than sell a $25 switch here, $30 wheel moulding there.
Anyway, thanks for the info and y'all have a fine day!!
