Is the 4 bbl air cleaner almost identical to the 6 pack?

Post by Mo Power » Sun Jun 01, 2008 1:09 am

Ok the guy I bought my roadrunner from has a 4bbl air cleaner which looks excatly like the six pack but without 3 holes for each carb. And I didn't even know they had just plain 4bbl cleaners like that and was wondering if the dimensions are same like the top lid and the base. I'm going to buy it anyways since I've been looking for one since I liked Mopars oval air cleaners :D .

I purchased one that I think was on a 69 RR. It is too high for my hood clearance with the airgrabber. My brother has offered to cut it down for me, but I would have to kill him. I am going to start looking for the 71-72 lower air cleaner base plate.

At one time someone posted pictures of the low profile one.

Well what is the opening for the carb hole? Because I'm wondering now if it will sit on a Edelbrock 650cfm because I not sure what size the Thremoquads openings were.

71440 GTX You wouldn't by any chance want to trade so I could have one that would fit an air grabber if I get it would ya  .
