After the stress of the seized drum and blown u-joint, I guess I beefed my left rear axle or wheel bearing (it's moaning/wailing and does it more if I turn to the right than the left and starting to smell burn-ish). Are 'axle' or 'wheel' bearings one and the same on these cars?
How tough a job is this? Should I just have my shop friends do it?
Gonna need an axle (wheel?) bearing

The hard part about changing the rear wheel bearings is that there is pressed on retainer that you must remove and re-install. You will need a press to do this. There are what they call "green bearings" you can re install that eliminate the adjusters but I'm not familiar enough with these to lead you through it. What I did, I took the axles out myself and took them over a friends place who has a press. I bought new bearings at Rockauto.com.
