Which fuel lines to use?

I have a relatively non-technical issue. I have a '73 Road Runner with a relatively stock 1970 440 and the factory 4-speed. I have an Edelbrock Performer Series carb (750cfm/mechanical secondaries/manual choke) part #1407 and a Holley single plane intake.
My only question is, I want to get rid of the stupid rubber line between fuel pump and carb that the previous idiot was running (no fuel filter!), and want to know what my best setup option would be. Obviously, I don't care about "correctness", I just want the best, safest, easiest setup. I'm thinking manciniracing.com and using the Edelbrock single-feed fuel line and filter kit.
I guess my real question is, I'm gonna PRESUME my EPS carb's stock inlet is banjo-style/barb, but what is the advantage of using their #6 AN inlet lines? There's a considerable price difference. I guess so I can run a better fuel filter, electric fuel pump, or for braided-hose applications, or any application with custom plumbing? I'm confused! Sorry... I'm gonna presume it's for racing. Also, at some point I acquired a brand-new electric fuel pump (I don't even remember how, I think someone had it left over at a car racing-type store), should I be using that and go with the #6 AN or should I keep the fuel pump stock? Seems to work okay.
As a side question, when does one step up to a dual-feed kit? I presume for my relative stock application for the street, I'm fine with a single.
P.S. I don't want to get into an argument about my setup. I got the carb new for $200 and the intake used with free throttle bracket for just over $100. I feel I "stole" these parts and that's why I'm using them, plus it's what I wanted. Thanks!
