carb mount question

Post by patrick » Sat Mar 15, 2008 3:33 pm

I have a Holley Street Dominator and Edelbrock Performer Series carb.

Both the intake and carb (and even carb to intake gasket) have dual holes for mounting. Should I put carb mounting studs in all eight holes? If not, I presume just the outer ones for better load distribution?

I presume the extra holes have something to do with mounting a square bore carb to a spread bore intake and/or vice versa and only four should and need only be used, common sense?
