I have seen lots of mopar's with orange color motors. I see lots of 71-74's B-Body's with blue or orange colored motors. So what is a the correct color for a 1972 road runner? Is there some reason behind the different colors?

Seeing the 72 chargers have had the same interiers, maybe the engine colors are also shared,if so i think it would be blue.
By the way,the turquoise from the 60s looks the same as the blue in the 70s.And there isnt a turquoise in the 70s,or a blue in the 60s.So did they just rename the color after 1970?

It’s my understanding that starting model year 1972 all Chrysler product engines were painted Chrysler Blue, including HP versions. It was not the same turquoise blue from the early sixtys.

Thanks for all the help everyone!! I guess blue is it!!
Next question did the blue motors have orange air cleaners? I was thinking about putting a "coyote" decal on my air cleaner, did those come on all road runners?
