nos lock set
I was going through the countless boxes of parts I have collected over the years. I found a complete set of locks ( 2 doors, trunk, glove, console and ignition). The odd thing about this set is that it only has the round keys but the keys work in everything including the ignition. I was thinking this might be for a cop car but it only has two door locks and a console lock. There is no part number because it came in a box from something else. Any ideas what this is for?

They were sealed in the bag and 4 doors didnt have a console. Never thought of the 2 dr cop car thing.Smellslike1974 wrote:i think you might be right but then i thought about this, wouldnt there be 4 locks total? For a 4 door car?but you probly dont have the other two
Did they have 2 door police cars?like a special sheriff car or something?

Four doors don't have locks on the rear doors from the outside...there were two door cop cars, it would be correct for those, but like any other car "all locks keyed alike" was an option...so it would be correct for any car that had that option (usually a fleet or cop car).

The doors were left unlocked all the time, and the door handles were inoperable from the inside...in other words, disconnected.
