If your talking about the butyl tape that holds the wind shield and the back lite to the pinch weld. You can get that from any auto glass shop. I think they even sell it at auto zone, NAPA and others. It come in different thickness's 7/16 th is the one you want.

Bill - this is correct for your car, when I read your post I thought you were asking about all the different weather strips for it, not just the windshield gasket... is it the same size for a 72?........7/16 front and rear?

Has anyone pulled their windshield and done the seal themselves? Is it fairly simple? Do you need to get clips?

Yes. This is something that should be done in a heated building or outside in the hot sun. That makes the tape squish down farther so the trim goes on nice.

It's not that tough of a job. There are a few ways to remove the old glass. If you have never done it before it would be better to start with the rear. The rear will not break as easy as the wind shield will. You will have to remove the trim. Then either get an auto glass knife, (but be careful you are working with glass) and cut it out. You have to be experienced to pull this and this would not work too well on the front (you will break it for sure). I have a pneumatic tool that does this for me (pricey). Or you could get your self some guitar strings, g I think the thinnest one. Or some strong thin wire. Fish it between the glass and pinch weld, wrap some of the wire around some sticks and saw your way through the butyl tape. Always keep the wire away from the glass. They do not mix. Clean it all up, repair if necessary, prime pinch weld with auto glass metal primer, prime the glass with auto glass glass primer, make sure the rubber pads that the glass rest on are in place, have a buddy help you put the glass in place, lightly push the glass to squeeze the butyl tape enough to replace the trim, and your done. Sorry a missed a step. before you put the trim on you have to seal the glass with the proper sealer. Seal it along the top and 6 to 8 inches down the sides. Bill be careful of the rear window, mine broke into a million pieces, it is not like a front windshield that will only crack, the rear shattttters.....

So i should start shopping for a new rear too...I havent touched it yet,But if its the same as the front was,siliconed to death its gonna break.
