My trunk lid does not have the holes cut out from the factory. I am buying a repro off of ebay and was wondering what it takes to make it work. They guys said something about a deck lid mounting bracket that goes underneath. Does this mean that you don't have to cut holes in the trunk lid.................other than the drilling required? Check them out on ebay thread and let me know what you think. thanks

There are other kits that have everything you need(hardware, mounts, etc) I've never seen just the wing for sale.

Actually 4 holes per side, two big and two small. Only 71 lids had them, as the rear spoiler was only available on 71 cars (discontinued for 72)

It will work on a 72 Satellite trunk lid though, right? I see why not. Just have to figure out how to cut the holes.......I guess. Anyone ever seen this done on a 72 trunk? I am certain that I am not the first. Thanks for the help guys.
rr6pak-there is nothing to click on in the page that you sent me? Is something wrong with it?Also, what role do the larger two holes serve? Can it be done without the two larger holes or is that where the bracket goes?

My 72 trunk lid did have the holes for mounting a wing. My car was just early production.
The smaller two holes are for screws to hold the mounting bracket in place. You do want them.....really.....
The larger holes are spaces for 2 brackets and mounting stuff. All are required if you would like the wing to stay on while you drive. I know first place has everything you need to put it in the right place with the right holes.
I have a mopar magazine that shows step by step how to do everything, and that was on a duster trunk lid. When you buy the kit they send you a copy of the article.

Can someone take some pics with measurements of how far apart these holes are? Maybe the distance from the outer two screw holes, and then the measurement from the tops of the two odd shaped holes.outside to outside..............Just trying to get a very good sketch of where exactly to cut mine out. If someone has their trunk lid open and don't ahve the wing, maybe you can get a good pencil tracing for me. I would pay you and shipping also. I ordered my wing and chin spoilers and should be in next week. I would like to have all of the holes cut prior to arrival. Thanks guys.
