I have reproduction uppers from Legendary. The vinyl is thicker than original, but they look very good. As for fit, you have to reuse your metal backer panels, so the fit depends on how well you assemble them!

I am going to leave that to the interior shop! Thanks for the info! Now I just need the seat covers, carpet, new top, new paint (and bodywork), rebuild the motor....and on and on and on.... But at least the upper door panels will be here when I get ready!!

My freind just put uppers and lower on his 71 RR. The uppers fit and look nice but the lowers were like to small. Didn't really fit that great.

I only bought the upper for now. My orange car needed only the uppers. My green car is going to be a different color and it will need a color change on the interior. Still undecided on what color combo on it....I have been thinking GY3 Curious Yellow with White interior! My wife would like it to be FC7 Plum Crazy Purple with Black interior. But I still need to find a front bumper and a few other things for that car. However after owning the car for a year now, I finally cleaned the interior floor pans and bolted in all the seats that I bought for it about 9 months ago!!

The legendary upper panels are not complete. The factory panels have a combination backing of a curved metal upper attached to a fiberboard lower. This assembly has foam attached to it and the vinyl over that. The legendary panels come with the vinyl attached over the lower cardboard panel, but you have to reuse your upper metal panel and reattach it to the lower. Hopefully that makes sense now.

I did my upper panels with Legendary vinyl. Getting the old vinyl off of the steel panels weren't difficult, and as I went along I snaped a few photos of how the factory cut and glued the vinyl around the corners etc. for reference.

The crappy bit of the job is straightening all the little metal tabs on which the fibreboard should be attached. This is important, 'cause If you don't get the fibreboard flush mounted with the steel panel, the steel panel edge will show through the vinyl and that doesn't look very nice!

The vinyl is glued on to the steel part using upholstery glue.

The Legendary vinyl quality is very good and fits very well.
