What is the best method to paint the console and lower door panels. I know the hard plastic use paint and not dye. Does it need some sort of primer/adhesive before paint? Can regular suto paint work? Can spray bomb work? This is for a RR clone so it isn't anything concours but would like it to look nice and hold up for a long period of time.

I did my kick panels and they came out great,I used Eastwood sand free(sem 38363) to promote adhesion before painting and used plastic prep to clean the plastic first(sem 38353).for the paint I used duplicolor Vinyl and fabrics spray paint from Jegs.

for me it depended on what the part was...on some panels, regular cheap spray paint worked...but on other panels, there was cracking and flaking, so i had to re-do them and again it worked sometimes and not others....i was gonna try that Krylon Fusion paint for plasics.

SEM color coat flexible coating paint. I find the "Landau Black" (pn15013)(if indeed you are going black) has the correct sheen. Not too glossy and not flat, more of a satin. Also use SEM77723 XXX adhesion promoter before you apply color. No primer needed. This set up gave me fantastic results.
