front bucket upholstery

Post by landon1 » Fri Oct 12, 2007 10:20 pm

so i have a bit of a mixed interior right now...factory 71 deluxe bench rear with a set of the button upholstery front buckets. I'm thinkin that the 1970 roadrunner bucket upholstery would match the rear pretty well since it is in almost perfect shape, but here's the question...will the 1970 seat covers fit on these buckets? also, anyone else have aproblem with the seat tracks not locking in place...my seat slides but will only lock in the furthest one forward and the furthest one back...any help would be great
thanks

I don't know if the skins will swap. As far as the locking issue- are the springs there- and in good shape?
4th generation B bodys- there is no substitute.

ya i wasn't sure if the upholstery would swap right away, but if the foam from a 70 seat would go on a 71-4 seat i think i could pull it off....i'll go check the seat from underneath...never really looked there before ;)

the levers that "lock into the notches in the frame are spring loaded to do so.

Not to hijack this thread, but what can I do for foam for the buckets in my '73? Are '71-'73 the same? I think they only make '68-'70 seat buns now.
