Front disc brake tubes

I'm currently putting in new brake lines and tubes. Yesterday I was changing the front brake tubes on the disc brakes and I discovered that on the one side there was a copper bushing between the tube and the brake caliper but not on the other side!
My question is, should there be a copper bushing?
(Btw; there were no bushings with the new brake tubes)
Thanks,

YES !!!!!!!!! That copper washer serves as the gasket between the flex line and the caliper. I'm surprised the one missing it wasn't leaking. Very important part.
ADDED: The washers/ gaskets usually come with the caliper and not the flex lines.

Thanks Road chicken,
I'll go get another copper washer then:-D
It didn't leak eventhough without a washer. Getting the old tube off on the other hand was a pain since it had been seriously tightened!

Yeah not cool to screw it down that tight. Hopefully it didn't "smear" away the wave like pattern around the hole that the copper washer makes a seal to.
