73 Roadrunner quarters

Post by wissman » Fri Feb 20, 2004 6:52 pm

I'm looking for a company that produces after market 73 RR Quarter panel skins for my two Roadunners. When I was at mopar nats about six years ago a company said they were coming out with them but that didn't pan out, so if anybody has any info on where I can get 2 sets of Quarters at a reasonable price I would be greatly appreciative! :?

Let me look

There was a company that made them up here in Wisconsin. A friend of mine did his dads 74 a few years back. They were NOT factory stampings and did need considerable work to make them "right" . But as far as I know- they were the only place that made them.
Let me know If I should chase them down, or if you'll go the "out west route.

Check out the article in this month's MCG. Looks like Goodmark is going to start stamping a LOT of Chrysler sheetmetal, with the blessing and help of MaMopar. Nothing is ready yet, but in the article the 71/72's were mentioned specifically, so I'd guess the 73/74's won't be that far behind! :D

This is awsome news!

Road Chicken can you track that company down because I've priced some of the sheetmetal out west and the prices are a little too steep for a piece that they can't guarantee the quality of.

73/74 Plymouth rear quarters

Post by Ron_M » Thu May 20, 2004 12:26 pm

Sherman or Goodmark, I don't remember which, is supposedly working on rear quarters and is working with
Autobody Specialties in Middlefield, CT . Autobody Specialties has a very big list of customers interested in these, you can do a search in one of the search engines to find their contact info and add your name to the list.
Their very nice people to deal with. Hopefully the quarters will be out this year.

No word yet, but I'm sure they will have something at Carlisle next month, and I'll be sure to be asking about quarters for both the 71/72s and the 73/74's

I talked with these guys yesterday and they told me they have started making quarter panels for 73 Roadrunners, but they will not be on the market until shortly after the new year. Perfect for that winter project, I have waited for 4 years what's another 4 months. :P

Any updates?

Any updates yet? The company in CT seems to show on their site the quarters. I just wish they made patch panels. Already made up the passenger side. Just have to do the pain staking work to right side but will hold out for quarters. Hmmm guess I'm the only one struck with rusted out rear corners near trunk lid and trunk lip near the latch in back. Oh well some day I will find a 73 or 74 to cut on in FL.

I called Autobody Specialties last week and still not great news. They're now saying Oct. 2005 will be the release date as other projects have been given priority ahead of these.
I really hope they finally come thru, I've been patiently calling them once every 6 months for the past 3 years and always get the same old answer "6 more months"
