I am thinking about selling one of my project cars so I can start gathering parts and pieces to restore the Satellite. Any items that are really hard to find that I should really start searching for??? My car is really solid except for that it has sat out for years. So all the weatherstrip is shot. And little things like the instrument cluster lens is cracked, missing all the dash control knobs, and the marker lens are in really bad shape. The bumpers are straight just the chrome is not in good shape. The tail light lens are busted, the headlight have been shot with a BB gun. Well you get the idea. The car has just sat out to long and needs some TLC. But the body is still in good shape, it is just the little things like the marker lens, tail lights and such that I need to start looking for. So I have a few questions.
Does anyone make the upper door panels??
How about patch panels?? (rear floor, rocker and lower 1/4's)
I am guessing pretty much all the weatherstrip is reproduced now??
Who rechromes bumpers?? Or is it better to buy new rechromed bumpers?
Anyone reproduce the marker lens??

This is for a 1971, right? Year one repro's the marker lights now for about 50 bux...u can get repro taillights for 375 BIN on ebay, originals would be amazingly priced...the upper door panels are only at Legendary, right(about 335 is the cheapest i think...goes up if u get different colors)...unless u can get some nice used ones on ebay...the dash lenses i'm not sure about...could prolly get a junk gauge set on ebay and take what u need off of it, that's what i did...the radio was a pretty hard find for me a few years ago, but they're easier to find on ebay now if u need one...paddock (and other places prolly) have the rocker and floor patches, but if u could make em or have them made pretty easy...don't think they do 1/4 patches, hafta make em or cut up another car
um...also was kinda hard for me to find the rear ashtrays, but i got em on ebay...somethin i think is cool, tho not original is the gauge inlays for rallyes with white faces that really pop...

Thanks for the heads up on the marker lens. I will get those ordered pretty quick. Then I will start getting the more expensive stuff (seat covers, vinyl top, tail lights, weatherstrips, carpet set, headliner, and upper door panels) once I get my Duster sold. I hate the idea of selling the Duster, however this Satellite is my absolute sentimental favorite car. In fact, I had originally tossed up the idea of selling all my 73 Cuda to fund a paint job on Satellite. However I think I would end up regretting that later on.
