I think it says some used 23" and other Bs used 25". I thought maybe the chargers had the longer length becuase the front seems to project a little more than the plymouths.

This is more for 71's than for 72's but I have noticed most B-bodies have the longer cable that attaches through the grill.
Yet in one of the original 71 print ads for the Road Runner I noticed a shorter hood pin cable that attaches under the hood to the front inner fender.
