Does this actuator look right?

The flapper door and actuator bracket came today. The flapper assembly is broken, the arm that attaches to the actuator rod fell off the round piece that that is pinned to the long rod. I will get this taken care of. I might have to spot weld it and then get it replated. I dont want to send it back maybe they will adjust the price for me. That was just a short rant my real question is about the actuator bracket. It looks like it is out of square, and I dont have enough brain cells left to remember if it should look like this. Take a look and let me know.

Yup, looks right. Who did you buy from? If it came from Wilson Productions, I'm sure Allen would be happy to replace anything that was damaged. The bracket doesn't look like one of Allen's though....
BTW, all oringal (assembly line) brackets I've seen had a black plating. The only original I've seen with the brite plating was an NOS one (and we all know NOS parts were not always like the assembly line ones).

I got it off ebay $50 the flapper assembly was $150. I dont know how correct this stuff is, considering it came from China. I dont have anything to compare it to (I wish I did). Even though this stuff is going into a clone I want it to look like it should. I'll get that all figured out when I get all the parts. I was going to buy a complete orginal hood but the guy wanted three grand for it and another grand for the switch, can and vacume lines. I think he saw dollar signs because he mentioned Barrett Jackson and all the car shows on tv. The only part that is not repoped is the actuator and the cannister and the cost is under 900 for a complete air grabber hood.

Yep PG Classics. I whish I could read chinese. From what I could figure out is that the flapper ass. and the bracket cost them $40. Thats a heafty profit for ordering the part and having it droped shipped. I would like to order these things and resell them for less and I would still make out ok. So If anyone can read chinese let me know and I'll try to order some of these things direct.

I called wilson's about getting a flapper door and bracket last night and he said it would cost 350 for the set. He assured me they were dead on with the originals, so I guess it all has to do with what your pocket book says.

If I was restoring a real rr I would spend more and go with nos or maybe original parts before after market but this is a clone and I'm getting in deep.
