and resonator
Keep in mind, not all 440+6 cars had resonators
Does anyone know where to get the resonators?

Are you sure the resonators are correct for your car?

I'm building a 6 pac clone, Thats why I will be using the resonators. Other wise I wouldn't spend the $. At least the tips will be cheaper.

it's just the ground clearance issues...if you're using vete pipes you'll be better off, but mine are 3.5 or 4" diameter (i don't remember off the top of my head) so i had to raise the front end a little bit. everything else about em is cherry...just the clearance...but with the front end raised up a lil bit, they're fine

Today i was just relaxing in the shop..(yesterday i pulled the 318 out of the satty and a muscle in my back)and i had taken one of the pipes and held it underneath the side of my car,and i think its awesome!

Especially since id have the chrome bumper, than the chrome wheel trim that would go down to the chrome side pipes, wich would flow all the way down to the other wheel lip molding and then to the shiny back bumper,it would be so perfect!
I did a photo shop of what my car would sorta look like finished ill post it later.

Well it depends if i want to use the tips,if not it ends about maybe a half a foot before the rear wheel well, but with the tips its probly 8''s longer and curves outward

i know thats what i though, when we picked them off and knew they were off a vette,we were thinking theyed be really short, seeing a vette compared to my car is small, but nah they fit perfectly.

Like I've said before, only Hemi cars came standard with resonators (on 71 B Bodies)
The only way you got resonators on a 440+6 car was if it was optioned for California noise emissions (N97) AND tips (N42), all others came without resonators...

Thanks Eric. I thought all six pac cars came with them. Only goes to show you can learn something every day.
