Re: 1971 Roadrunner with 340 auto
Sorry, but I must admit that I misread your original post....I was under the impression that you were looking to replace the motor for your own reasons and go to a big block....by all means, stick with the original motor....the 340 is a fine motor
It's a fine line between a hobby & mental illness!

It's too high in my opinion, unless it is a documented low mile survivor or OEM nut and bolt restored car with a 4 speed.71340 wrote:Is 25k crazy?

I agree with Steve. Fresh correct resto num match 340-4spd 25K is a reasonable number. If you really, really, really like this car, and plan to enjoy it for many years, then something in the 18-21K range is a good number for both buyer and seller. With the current softer market for collector cars, now is the time to buy in my opinion. If you are serious about making an offer on the car, I would have a third party appraiser/or a local Mopar expert take a close look at the car to make sure it is what it is. There are Mopar clubs all over the place, and usually there are a few members in those clubs that know their stuff.RoadrunnerSteve wrote:It's too high in my opinion, unless it is a documented low mile survivor or OEM nut and bolt restored car with a 4 speed.71340 wrote:Is 25k crazy?
